LA-based musician and teacher, gaba specializes in vocal performance, musical direction, and arranging. Recent appearances include background vocals on NPR’s TinyDesk for Olivia Rodrigo and dodie, the American dub of Netflix’s Fanfic, and season 2 of I Can See Your Voice on Fox.
An honors graduate of the Popular Music & Voice program at USC’s Thornton School of Music, gaba was also a top 60 finalist on the second season of American Idol on ABC and has performed at venues that include Carnegie Hall and The Theatre at Ace Hotel. In addition to performance, gaba shares their passion for music through vocal and instrumental instruction.
gaba also spent time deeply immersed in the world of contemporary a cappella, with highlights that include two performances at the Hollywood Bowl (2017, 2022) as a choral vocalist with Pentatonix as well as the Pitch Perfect world premiere and official film trailer. During their time at USC, gaba was also a Soprano in world-renowned a cappella group the SoCal VoCals – winning an International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella during their tenure.
Additionally, gaba enjoys creating and appearing in musical social media content, amassing millions of views across platforms like TikTok and YouTube. gaba also does voiceover work, serving as a vocalist on a featured storyline in top mobile game Episode, dubbing the principal role in a foreign Netflix film, and has done format testing for musical reality competition television.
